If you step out of the PJ2C villa, walk 30 feet to this stone wall, and then look left and down you're treated to this view of the bay and the Kadushi Cliffs beach. There are very few good beaches on Curacao and sand is, accordingly, very rare. As guests of Kadushi Cliffs, we'll have access to this beach. There's a dive shop tucked in the rock face above the beach, a snack bar, and a very interesting snorkeling trail, with signs and pointers actually under the water!

Welcome to Mars! This is on the wild, windswept north shore of Curacao, only about a 15 minute walk from the PJ2C site and the Kadushi Cliffs Resort. This is the view looking toward the East Coast of the U.S. The prevailing winds are from the northeast, thus the northeast-facingside of the island is wild crashing surf and waves. The terrain is frozen lava which, after a few million more years of wind and water erosion, will be sand. At present, it is the wildest looking seashore landscape I've seen in the world. Inspiring place. The PJ2C site is tucked literally just around the corner on the tip of the island, and thus is on the lee side where the water is quiet and the wind minimal. Unbelieveable contrast from one side of the island to the other.

This photo was taken in exactly the same spot as the one above it, but turned around 180 degrees. It looks for all the world like the desert Southwest in the US, except that there's an ocean behind us!
