Insertion Anomaly - Can’t insert a new patient who has no surgeon and has not yet had a procedure; can’t insert a new surgeon who has not yet practiced at that hospital
Update Anomaly - Can’t change the address of a patient who has had previous surgery because we may not know all the rows in which that patient occurs
Deletion Anomaly - If a patient dies, can’t delete his row without losing all the surgeon and the drug-reaction data
